Scenic Artist

The Scenic Artist will report to the Paint Team Lead. You will work on multiple shows each session. You must have a strong knowledge of scenic paint and finishing techniques.  You will need to problem solve and be able to work in a fast-paces work environment. You should have the ability to work outdoors in hot and rainy conditions.

Typical duties include:

  • Able to paint from set renderings and models 

  • Maintain the organization of paint storage areas and stock paints 

  • Communicate with the Paint Team Lead and others to complete the task on hand 

  • Assist as House Managers/Ushers during show weekend 

  • Assist with change overs and strike 

  • Work with the Production Manager to achieve the best results for your team 

  • Other duties within the individual skill set as requested by management

All of our staff works together as a team to help successfully get all 14 productions up and running each session. We look to our tech team to utilize your complete skillset not just your primary talent. So when we need you, you will be asked to help other departments finish up those last few projects before opening. Whether is be helping sew on those last few buttons, painting projects, or even doing last minute lighting checks. We all jump in to help everyone finish on time.
